Hiring a Dishwasher Technician in Utah
Utah has no contractor classification for appliance repair, but under the Construction Trades Licensing Act anyone who installs, repairs or replaces a residential or commercial gas appliance must hold natural gas technician certification, even on jobs otherwise too small to need a contractor license. Source: Utah Legislature H.B. 49 (2004), Natural Gas Technician Certification, amending Utah Code 58-55-305 and 58-55-308
In Utah, you can check a license with the Utah Licensee Lookup and Verification (Verify a License) or report a problem to the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Consumer Protection.
